Descripción de la:
The devotional yodel originated around 1800 in South Tyrol and is liturgically associated with the Christmas mass. Rediscovered around 1930, it has gained increasing popularity since it is regularly sung and intoned together by performers and audience at the conclusion of the Salzburg Advent Singing. Florian Klinger arranged this vocal work for percussion instruments, gradually transforming the melody into a pulsating groove without abandoning the devotional mood. The instrumentation includes classical percussion instruments as well as ORFF instruments such as an alto glockenspiel, and includes challenging to easy individual parts. The minimum instrumentation is five and can be expanded to nine players. The bass marimba part can optionally be played on an A marimba. Both marimba parts can optionally be played by a piano. Florian Klinger, born 1991 in Hollabrunn, is an Austrian percussionist and jazz vibraphonist. He studied classical percussion in Vienna and jazz mallets in New York. He is a percussionist in the orchestra of the Volksoper Vienna, lecturer and founder of the ensemble Louie's Cage Percussion. Florian Klinger has played in ensembles of various musical genres and has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera, the RSO Vienna, the Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich, as well as with renowned musicians such as Benny Golson, Bob Mintzer, Elina Garanca, Jose Carreras, Jonas Kaufmann and many others.
