This easygoing swinger is written in the style of the great Sammy Nestico and gives a nod to his classic Basie chart, Freckle Face. A tuneful melody accompanied by traditional chord changes leads to plenty of solo space for trumpet and piano. After the shout chorus a brief recap of the melody leads to a quick and powerful finish. Commissioned by Ted Newton and the Moreau Catholic High School Jazz Ensemble. No doubles required of the saxes. Lead trumpet goes up to a written high D.
