Wind quartet in variable instrumentation (brass, woodwind, also mixed choral instrumentation). The present two pieces from the 'Oratorio de Noel', op. 12 (1858) by the important French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saens are in many respects an addition to and enrichment of the repertoire of Christmas wind music: It is music that has been virtually unknown in Germany until now, the movements are easy on the ear, they are short and technically easy to master. The quartet set was designed in such a way that the pieces can be performed by brass players, woodwind players, or also in mixed choral ensembles (e.g. small youth bands). 1st voice in C (flute)
