Descripción de la:
Even at Mozart's time, it was very popular to write chamber music arrangements of operas. The two arrangements presented here were presumably written by the flutist August Eberhard Müller (1767 - 1817) who held the post of choirmaster-organist at St. Thomas' Church in Leipzig and who also advised Constanze Mozart on musical issues after Mozart's death. The arrangements are closely linked to the original score and the instruments were skillfully reduced to five. In order to emphasize the character of Janissary music even more, the overture to the Abduction can be augmented by a triangle (triangle part is enclosed).
