Descripción de la:
Mozart completed his 'Symphony No. 41 in C major', KV 551, in August 1788. It's the longest and last symphony that he composed and is regarded by many critics as among the greatest symphonies in classical music. The work is nicknamed the 'Jupiter Symphony'.
The symphony is in four movements, in the usual arrangement for a classical-style symphony (fast movement, slow movement, minuet, fast movement): 1. 'Alllegro vivace', 2. 'Andante cantabile', 3. 'Menuetto. Allegretto - Trio', 4. 'Molto allegro'.
French arranger Bruno Peterschmitt transcribed this symphony for a Wind Ensemble.
