In addition to "Jerusalem" (SATB version BUTZ2993), the song "Dear Lord and Father of mankind" (also known with the lyrics "Long since in Egypt's plenteous Land") is one of the most beautiful melodies by the English romantic Parry; it remains one of the most popular sacred songs in England to this day. Through the present arrangement, provided with an additional German text version, the original, which is both melodically and harmonically captivating, is made accessible to the three-part singing choir.
