A setting of 'Ubi Caritas' for mixed voice choir (SATB) with Cor Anglais and String Orchestra, commissioned by and dedicated to Janet Haney and the Jubilate Choir.
Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor.
Exsultemus et in ipso jucundemur.
Timeamus et amemus Deum vivum.
Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero.
Amen.
Where charity and love are, God is there.
Christ's love has gathered us into one.
Let us rejoice and be pleased in Him.
Let us fear, and let us love the living God.
And may we love each other with a sincere heart.
Amen.
It can be performed with an organ accompaniment instead of string orchestra, though this still requries the cor anglais. A separate organ score is available for this version; the choir should use the standard vocal score whichever accompaniment is used.
