Descripción de la:
In their latest publication 'Morscheck & Burgmann Meet O'Carolan', Chris Burgmann and Peter Morscheck have arranged melodies by Irishman Turlough O'Carolan for two guitars.
In his new book 'Irish Traditionals', Chris Burgmann has compiled 26 jigs, slip jigs, reels and hornpipes for guitar.
What is special about these pieces is that the guitar strings are tuned to DADGAD. Strings 1, 2 and 6 are each tuned a tone deeper, creating a pitch that seems to be made for these Irish arrangements.
The pieces are written in tablature for the guitarists, but also in conventional notation, so that a fiddle, tin-whistle or even a Uilleann pipe could play along. All tracks are included on the enclosed CD, and the CD also contains more jigs, reals and horn pipes recorded with baroque guitar and bass - just to listen to.
