Descripción de la:
Carl Bohm (1844-1920) was a pianist and composer and made a name for himself above all through his salon compositions - the song "Still wie die Nacht" became a worldwide success that is still popular today. Böhm's publisher Simrock advertised Böhm's works with the statement that "he sells more compositions by Böhm than by Johannes Brahms". Edition Butorac publishes a large selection of his works for violin and piano, which Bohm wrote specifically for pedagogical use. Particularly popular are his folkloristically inspired pieces, such as those of the newly published volumes "Two Spanish Dances" (EB L137-G, I.-IV. and I.-V. Lage) as well as "Two Polish Dances" (EB L136-G, I.-V. and I.-VI. location). They are ideal for the lecture. "Introduction and Polonaise" from the Polish Dances is a compulsory piece even at international violin competitions for young people. Like all editions for the pedagogical field, the volume contains a list of all lecture designations used in the respective work. The bow and fingering of the violin part are by the editor Tomislav Butorac.
