Here the young violin student is introduced step by step to the basics of reading music and reading the sight in a playful way. The learning objectives of this booklet include:
1. Mastery of elementary rhythms
2. Systematic development of all notes on all strings in the first fingering position
The book is divided into four learning sections:
A. Talking, clapping and moving games
B. Painting and writing exercises
C. Notes reading exercises with and without an instrument
D. Sight reading training
The piano arrangements on the accompanying CD are kept very simple in order to focus concentration on learning the pitches. Each small exercise has a prelude of two bars, in which the new learning step is announced musically.
All rhythm exercises are played with drum and piano and encourage the children to absorb the pulse very lively.
