Descripción de la:
In 2017, shortly after the world premiere of my opera 'Quicksand' (based on Junichiro Taniza-ki's novel 'Manji'), I started composing this sonata. In the sonata appears the effective four-tone, which is derived from an old Japanese song and which occurs in the melodized Osaka accent that I have already used in my opera. In my compositions for woodwind instruments I always want to use both the traditional western structure and the eastern timbres. In the present Sonata I managed to switch freely between East and West. The bassoonist Matthias Rácz recommended the composition of this sonata to me after hearing my sonata for oboe (FH 3085), which was performed on the fiftieth anniversary of Japan Double Reed Inc. The world premiere took place on March 19, 2019 in Zurich with Matthias Rácz on bassoon and Annes Hinrichsen on piano. The premiere in Tokyo took place on April 17, 2019. The publication of the sonata would not have been possible without the help of those named (and those who were not named). Thank you very much!
