El Meu Iaio - in German 'My Grandfather' - is a charming passacaglia. With Spanish flair and fresh colors, Ferrer Ferran created an attractive wind band work. The grandfather, by the way, is not the ancestor of the composer, but of the conductor to whom the piece is dedicated. In his youth, the latter had often accompanied the grandfather to concerts and expressed the wish that the local wind orchestra should also be able to play so well. The grandfather consoled the boy by promising a great future for the ensemble - which, with a lot of diligence and commitment, came true! World Set (incl. Score).
