Descripción de la:
'Le Villi' (The Willis or The Fairies) is an opera-ballet in two acts and Puccini's first stage work. The second act is called 'La tregenda' (The Spectre) and is preceded by explanatory verses recounting the intervening events and expresses the setting in which the action is about to take place: Winter landscape, at night, with leafless trees, dead and overloaded with snow. The sky is clear and starry, the moon illuminates the gloomy landscape. Le Villi come to dance, preceded by fatal fires that dart on all sides and travel the scene. The intermezzo from 'La Villy' is a piece 'con fuoco' from the first bar on. Italian arranger Marco Tamanini transcribed this wonderful intermezzo for Symphonic Band.
