Originally from the city of Pforzheim in Germany, the band Fool's Garden (Volker Hinkel, guitarist & Peter Freudenthaler, singer) is the only German rock band to have managed to produce a worldwide success, and some of their titles regularly top the charts of Asia and Eastern Europe. Their hit Lemon Tree (1995) was a timeless hit. Composed in just ten minutes by Peter Freudenthaler while patiently waiting for his friend on a Sunday afternoon, the song reached number one in forty countries.
