'Music makes friends' is the motto of the PURMERADE, the four-yearly international youth band festival, taking place again in 1994. The composition is based on seven variations on a German lovesong and is the test piece for the 1994 PURMERADE.The degree of difficulty has been adapted to the average level of the participating bands. Although some bands will have to make greater efforts, the work can be played by all bands. There are seperate instrumentations available for symphonic wind band, fanfare band and brassband.
