Descripción de la:
The trombone concerto "Seasons" was written on the occasion of a joint project with the solo trombonist of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg (Austria), Christian Winter.
This gave rise to the title "Seasons," spring, summer, autumn and winter, and thus the four movements into which the composition is divided.
In "Spring" (the flowing spring), the trombone presents itself as a lyrical solo instrument, flowing in 6/8 measure and soft in sound, while in "Summer" (with a summer character), on the other hand, he plays virtuoso and makes use of the entire tessitura of the instrument. "Autumn" (autumn love) resembles a musical declaration of love in the form of a romantic ballad, before finally in "Winter" (winter playfulness) all the brakes are released and a lively party in Latin style emerges with which we also conclude the work. In the finale, the soloist can improvise ad libitum or use the written-out and, of course, supplied "improvisation".
"Seasons" makes professional demands on the soloist(s), the accompaniment to it is not easy, but can be played quite well by ambitious amateur bands.
This composition was created with the help of a contribution from the Music Investment Fund, an initiative of Buma/Stemra in cooperation with Voi(C)e, the Copyright Interests Federation and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in the Netherlands.
