Jef Penders (1928), the 'Valencian Dutchman', had already enriched the lighter original band repertoire with several fine and creative dance melodies such as a cha-cha-cha, a charleston, a reggae and a waltz. This time, or rather 'today' (ahora), the Spanish sunny climate inspired him to compose this lively and inspiring conga. Originally the conga was a semiritual dance of the Antilles which also soon spread in the New-Orleans area. We bet it will give you the heebie-jeebies.
