Descripción de la:
It seems hard to believe today that Bedrich Smetana initially met with repeated rejection when he wanted to promote the 'Moldau', which was extremely popular in the concert hall from the very beginning, to print.
Furthermore, it is astonishing that the first text-critical edition by the Czech Smetana expert Milan Pospísil in 1999 made an in-depth source evaluation and edited the work text-critically as an Eulenburg study score, but this had no consequences for concert practice because no performance material had emerged. After 15 years, Pospísil's edition is being practically implemented: in a conducting score and orchestral parts that provide a reliable musical text in every respect for upcoming performances.
