Descripción de la:
Urtext nach der Leipziger Mendelssohn-Gesamtausgabe [Soli,GCh,Orch] 160'
Soli: SSAATTBBB - Chor: SSAATTBB - 2.2.2.2. - 4.2.3.0.Oph - Pk - Org - Str
If in the anniversary year 2009 Mendelssohn's 'Elijah' is available for purchase complete with score, parts and piano reduction, then it has already been tested in practice, for Kurt Masur was able to use the publisher's pre-prepared performance material as a basis for his concerts in Paris in January 2009. The 'Breitkopf Urtext' new edition offers the musical text of the 'Leipzig Mendelssohn Edition', which for the first time was able to make use of the score autograph, which has become accessible again. In addition, the bilingual piano reduction contains for the first time a correct underlay of the English vocal text, which William Bartholomew worked out in intensive collaboration with Mendelssohn.
