Descripción de la:
From the founding period of the clarinet concerto
Louis Spohr's Clarinet Concerto No. 1 was composed in the winter of 1808/09, when the clarinet had just established itself as an orchestral and solo instrument. The solo concertos by Spohr and Weber from this "pioneering period" around 1810 that are known today are due to the intensive collaboration between composer and performer in each case. Spohr's technically extremely demanding clarinet concertos were written for the virtuoso Johann Simon Hermstedt. After the first successful performances, the composer decided to simplify the solo part for the printed edition.
The "Breitkopf Urtext" edition goes back to the score autograph and the first printing of the parts, which often deviated from it. In the solo part, the easier variants are taken over as well as the original version.
