Descripción de la:
Make one out of four? What at first sounds like an unsolvable task (especially since the string ensemble still has to be counted as "five"), proves to be a stroke of luck for organ literature in the case of Bach's Concerto for Four Harpsichords and Strings (based on Vivaldi's Concerto op. 3,10, RV 580). Of course, it took a connoisseur of organ transcription in general and Bach's oeuvre in particular to do justice to this demanding task: Martin Schmeding created a movement with great empathy, which in the result produces a veritable "organ concerto" and which allows the player to enjoy the many advantages of the popular harpsichord concerto extensively. Even a two-manual instrument is sufficient for interpretation. A welcome addition to the organ concert repertoire; the individual movements can also be integrated into the liturgical framework.
