Getting Into The Groove by Andrew Gordon, has been especially created for the many instrumentalists that need a practical hands on approach to improvising or playing a solo over chord changes. It is like having a 'backing band in your home' to practice with and has 19 solos in the styles of Blues, Jazz, Rock, Gospel and Rhythm & Blues. The CD that comes with the book has separate functions. It consists of the rhythm backing tracks of piano, organ, bass and drums (the soloist can solo over the rhythm tracks) as well as the solo recorded along with the rhythm tracks for reference. Each of the 19 grooves are approximately 3 minutes in length, giving the musician ample time to try out improvisational ideas. The book contains all the solos notated out with the chord progressions. The product is also available for 'Bb' instruments such as tenor sax, trumpet etc. and 'Eb' instruments for alto sax etc.
