The work is in four movements, in the usual arrangement for a classical-style symphony (fast movement, slow movement, minuet, fast movement): 1. 'Molto allegro', 2. 'Andante', 3. 'Menuetto. Allegretto - Trio', 4. 'Finale. Allegro assai'.
French arranger Bruno Peterschmitt transcribed this symphony for a Wind Ensemble.
